About Me
My journey into the world of user experience has been organic and diverse, spanning multiple industries and exciting challenges.
Marinva
I started in 2017 in a consulting firm specialized in the use of games as a tool for the transformation of professional teams, where I played the role of user experience (UX) designer and gamification consultant.
My work focused on designing strategies to improve the effectiveness of internal training, either through digital products or teambuilding sessions. To do this, it was essential to thoroughly understand the users, building archetypes, aligning success indicators and working in collaboration with the development team.
Tematica Software
At Temática Software, I had the opportunity to lead the research in the redesign of the opticians’ management program ‘Visual’. This project involved a deep immersion in the needs and experiences of users, from conducting large-scale surveys to direct observation in the working environment of opticians’ shops.
These investigations revealed the importance of designing an interface that would make it possible to keep several operations accessible simultaneously, considering the frequent interruptions during the use of the program in the work context.
Firstplanit
At Firstplanit, a startup focused on facilitating sustainable home renovations, I was faced with the challenge of integrating gamification elements effectively into their renovation planning platform UI. Working closely with the marketing and development team, I conceptualized a gamification system that would incentivize use of the platform without detracting from its core purpose. Although the collaboration was limited to the initial phase due to technical development decisions, the project laid the groundwork for future iterations.
HP Inc
My experience with HP WW Store took me to a global environment, where I joined a team dedicated to optimizing the company’s online stores in various regions. From heuristic analysis and surveys to interviews and usability testing among other methods. My job was to provide insights and design recommendations to improve store KPIs. I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, using a variety of research methods to understand the needs and behaviors of users in different cultural and geographic contexts.
Yiimbe Bassari
Outside the professional sphere, I founded the non-profit association Yiimbe Bassari together with my partner, with the aim of providing training in photovoltaics in the Bassari region of Senegal. Inspired by the needs I observed during a vacation, I developed a training program adapted to local conditions and organized the first class of trainees. The initial success of the project led us to register the partnership and plan future promotions with improvements based on feedback received.
